[ES] La presente invención trata de una nueva cepa de Lactobacillus reuteri aislada del estómago humano, que presenta actividad antioxidativa y antimicrobiana, en especial efecto anti-Helicobacter, una considerable supervivencia a las condiciones del ecosistema gástrico y capacidad de adherencia al epitelio. La invención se refiere también a un producto probiótico o bioterapeútico que contiene a la cepa de L. reuteri que es útil para el tratamiento o profilaxis de patologías gástricas provocadas por la bacteria Helicobacter pylorio para prevenir los efectos secundarios asociados a los tratamientos de antibioterapia convencionales.
[EN] The invention relates to a new strain of Lactobacillus reuteri isolated from the human stomach, exhibiting antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, in particular an anti-Helicobacter effect, considerable resistance to the conditions of the gastric ecosystem, and the capacity to adhere to the epithelium. The invention also relates to a probiotic or biotherapeutic product which contains the strain of L. reuteri and is suitable for use in the treatment or prophylaxis of gastric diseases caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacteria, in order to prevent the secondary effects associated with conventional antibiotic treatments.
