Abstract

La Tesis Doctoral aborda algunos de los numerosos aspectos que abarcan el estudio del patrimonio construido, seleccionándose el Antiguo Hospital de Jornaleros de Maudes (Madrid), construido por el arquitecto gallego Antonio Palacios Ramilo (1974-1945) entre 1909 y 1916. Sus muros presentan una cara exterior de cantería en caliza mayoritariamente, mostrando los paramentos un plano principal y diferentes planos de avance. Abandonado entre 1970 y 1984 y declarado Monumento Histórico Artístico en 1979, actualmente alberga la sede de la Consejería de Medio Ambiente, Vivienda y Ordenación del Territorio de la Comunidad de Madrid. Ha sido objeto de dos intervenciones principales, en 1984-1986, rehabilitación integral, y en 2006-2008, restauración de los paramentos, acometiéndose en ambas la limpieza de la caliza mediante proyección de partículas.
