Entre las obras introducidas en al-Andalus por el tradicionista y alfaquí mZlikí Muhammad b. Wadd* (m. 287/900) se cuenta el Kitáb al-siyar de Ibráhím b. Muhammad al-Fazári (m. 188/804), una compilación de tradiciones que versan sobre los problemas jurídicos derivados de la práctica del jihád, tales como botín, prisioneros, etc. Esta obra ha sido editada recientemente, a partir del unicum de la Qarawiyyin de Fez, en el que precisamente se recoge la riwáya de Ibn Wadd., la cual, a través del andalusí 'Abbas b. Asbag b. 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Gusn al-Hamdiini al-Hi9ari (m. 386/996), llega hasta Ibn BaSkuwal (m. 578/1183): el famoso autor de la Sila. El eslabón entre Ibn Wadd. y 'Abbas b. Asbag parece haber sido Muhammad b. 'Abd al- Malik b. Ayman (m. 330/941). La edición del Kifáb al-siyar va acompañada de dos apéndices en los que se recogen otras transmisiones de al-Fazáfi encontradas en diferentes obras.
