Síntesis por sol-gel de hexaluminato de calcio

Abstract

El compuesto más rico en alúmina entre los compuestos intermedios en el sistema CaO-Al2O3 es el hexaluminato calcio (CaAl12O19). La formación de este aluminato se produce por la reacción entre el CaO y la Al2O3,con la consecuente formación de compuestos intermedios con el aumento de la temperatura con menores contenidos en alúmina (CaAl4O7, CaAl2O4,…). En este trabajo se ha sintetizado el hexaluminato cálcico (CA6) mediante el método sol-gel basado en nitratos, el cual permite obtener precursores de hexaluminato cálcico de gran pureza y de tamaño de grano nanométrico.
