Praderas sembradas en los terrenos cultivados de secano

Abstract

En el artículo titulado (Praderas artificiales para el secano .aragonés), publicado en las páginas de esta misma revista en el mes de diciembre de 1959, comentábamos las razones por las que se debía ya abandonar el sistema clásico de «año y vez» de explotación de nuestros secanos y sustituirlo por una ,alternativa o rotación de cultivos mucho más razonable. Comentábamos, y en cierto modo lo demostrábamos con datos numéricos, que con la inclusión en el sistema de alternativas de praderas sembradas se podrían conseguir' tres finalidades altamente significativas, que son: producción de grandes cantidades de forraje de buena calidad, mejora de la estructura física y de la composición química del suelo y protección del mismo contra la erosión, que acarrea tan nefastas consecuencias en la mayoría de los secanos.

En el presente artículo vamos a comentar otro de nuestros ensayos, realizado con el mismo objeto, o sea para intentar demostrar las posibilidades y las ventajas de las praderas sembradas en el secano.
