Contaminación de suelos con elementos traza en el accidente de Aznalcóllar tras su limpieza en diferentes escenarios

Abstract

Las medidas de recuperación de los suelos cubiertos de un lodo pirítico tras el accidente minero de Aznalcóllar, han resultado eficaces en la llanura inundable de las cuencas de los ríos Agrio y Guadiamar. Sin embargo, en los taludes (y sus inmediaciones) quedó parte del lodo sin retirar por lo que la oxidación e hidrólisis de los sulfuros del mismo genera elevadas concentraciones de elementos traza (ET) totales y solubles, con el consiguiente peligro para las aguas y organismos vivos.
