Se han realizado experimentos para estudiar la influencia de Honscnula anomala, a diferentes porcentajes en peso (2.5, 3, 3,5 y 4.0) en el desarrollo larvario y potencial reproductor de Cerotitis capitata (Wied.). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que, en principio, esta levadura es una alternativa válida a Saccharomyces cerevisiae como aporte proteico. Las proporciones utilizadas en la dieta larvaria no son suficientes para obtener un desarrollo óptimo de las larvas en las dos primeras generaciones.
Experiments have been carried out in order to study the influence of Hansenula anomala (2.5%, 3.0%, 3.5% and 4.0% w/w) on the larval development and reproductive potential of Ceratitis capitata (Wied.). The results obtained show this yeast is a good option as a protein source. However, the percentages used in the larval diet are not enough to obtain the best larval development along the two generations studied.
