Abstract

[EN] As happens with other social animals akin to us, human activity is teleologically structured, attuned to satisfying human needs through certain means. Hence both our individual and collective mind is more bent at attaining the end than to cavil on possible threats and drawbacks surrounding the adopted means. Dangerous as such strategy may sound, it has been inductively borne out by the historical experience of Mankind. The precautionary principle hatched up of late reverts the priorities, thus thwarting further progress, as if all human needs were already met and our current situation was satisfactory. Such a principle is not just practically a spoiler but also theoretically unfounded. Instead we ought to espouse a principle of confidence in Mankind's future.

1. El carácter teleológico de la actividad humana. 2. 9. Conclusión: apostar por la confianza.
