Variedades locales de maíz de Guipúzcoa

Abstract

El Departamento de Agricultura y Pesca del Gobierno Vasco y la Estación Experimental de Aula Dei, del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), iniciaron en 1989 un proyecto de investigación con el objetivo de caracterizar las poblaciones locales de maíz de Guipúzcoa e identificar las de superior valor agronómico y mejor adaptación a las condiciones medioambientales de la provincia. En este segundo artículo sobre el tema (ver Sustrai, n. 21; pág. 43- 45) se pretenden divulgar los resultados obtenidos de la evaluación y clasificación taxonómica del conjunto de variedades recolectadas.
