Las cuentas de un hospital medieval: la Santa Creu de Barcelona (1430-1431)

Abstract

Desde una aproximación al “libro de cuentas” del Hospital de la Santa Creu de Barcelona, el autor ofrece una amplia panorámica con una descripción del los recursos de que disponía el hospital para llevar a cabo las funciones que tenia encomendadas. No se trata tanto de un verdadero instrumento contable como del resultado de un acto administrativo. En concreto, se trata de la relación de ingresos y gastos del Hospital de la Santa Creu durante un periodo entre 1430 y 1431.

Este articulo se inscribe en el proyecto de investigación "Monarquía, ciudades y elites financieras en la Cataluña bajomedieval" (HAR2008-04772/HIST), y se ha realizado en el marco del Grupo de Investigación Consolidado "Renda feudal i fiscalitat a la Catalunya baixmedieval" (2009 SGR 1367).
