Abstract

[EN] In this work a landscape analysis has been accomplished in a natural protected area located in the Madrid Autonomous Region. This area was declared Special Protection Areas (SPA) in 1990. Our main goal is to contribute to the most appropriate spatial zoning of a protected area which environmental values are specially relevant. An indirect method has been applied based on the analysis of regular grid units. Landscape quality and fragility has been studied. Different criteria has been considered in the analysis including the visual or perceptive dimension of the landscape and also its ecological and structural values. Different approaches based on quantitative and qualitative analysis has been combined in order to measure landscape components.
