Estudio del efecto del tamaño y composición de partículas insolubles en la interacción con fritas para el desarrollo de esmaltes

Abstract

En este trabajo se han preparado esmaltes con diferentes contenidos del 0, 5, 10 y 20% en residuo de cuarzo y alúmina. Se ha observado como las partículas de cuarzo tienden a no mojarse por el esmalte o bien quedar prácticamente sin adherir a él en superficie dando lugar a efectos abrasivos. Por otro lado, las partículas de alúmina se mojan bien por el esmalte y pueden ser disueltas en él y si están en su superficie pueden dar efecto antideslizante. La estructura del esmalte cambia con la disolución de estas partículas, estando más despolimerizada a medida que hay más partículas en el esmalte.
