[EN] Based on the transcription of the first 45 pieces of the Libro de Tonos Humanos, and on the study of both its music and poems, the function that the cancionero had in the Court of Felipe IV is established, as well as the aim with which it was written. In the musical side, different aspects of pieces with text in vulgar will be discussed, taking into account musical treatises of that time, as well as the stylistic resources employed to highlight the expressivity of poetic texts. In the literary side, the conclusions are offered of the study of meter, influences, poetic imagery, sources and literary references in the texts.
[ES] A partir de la transcripción de las primeras 45 piezas del Libro de Tonos Humanos, y del estudio de su música y poesía, se establece la función e intención que tuvo el cancionero en la corte de Felipe IV. En el ámbito musicológico se estudian diversos aspectos de la composición en lengua romance, a la luz de los tratados musicales de la época, así como los recursos estilísticos utilizados para resaltar la expresividad de los textos poéticos. En el ámbito filológico, se ofrecen las conclusiones extraídas de su estudio métrico, de la imaginería poética y de las fuentes y referencias literarias de los mismos.
