[ES] Este trabajo aborda la presencia colectiva de los artistas españoles del exilio de 1939 en Francia y su situación e incidencia en dos momentos muy distintos, el anterior y el posterior al armisticio del conflicto mundial, y en los dos grandes y diferentes núcleos creativos que generó su asentamiento: el intelectual y mediático de París y el popular y solidario de Toulouse.
[EN]This paper analyses the collective presence of Spanish artists in the exile of 1939 in France and its situation and impact before and after the end of the Second World War. It also studies two different centres for the arts: Paris as the intellectual and media city, and Toulouse, the popular and supportive one.
