[ES] Eduardo García Solá (1845-1922) fue un notable profesor e investigador de la Facultad de Medicina de Granada. Es bien conocido como un precoz introductor y defensor de la medicina de laboratorio en España, tarea a la que consagró la parte más sustancial de su producción científica. En esta nota se estudia otra faceta, menos conocida, de García Solá, concretamente su labor gerencial al frente del rectorado de la Universidad de Granada, y su obra historicomédica. A ambas dedicó varias publicaciones.
[EN] A notorius teacher and searcher of the Spanish Medical School of Granada was Eduardo García Solá (1845-1922). He is well known as an early introductor of laboratory medicine in Spain and dedicated many publications to medical microbiology and morbid anatomy. An aspect of his scientific biography not well known is analyzed in this paper, his labor as a reformer of medical teaching and his historicomedical work.
