Asignatura inidónea: Lógicas no clásicas

In 1984 thousands of teachers at public Spanish Universities were promoted to the status of tenured professors by means of a cursory noncompetitive examination, the so-called "pruebas de idoneidad". The author of this paper applied, presenting a teaching and research programme on non classical logics. On the ground of a restrictive construal of the norm, the Spanish Ministry of education rejected the application, which practically entailed that the subject was in effect made non-idoneous at Spanish universities.
