Bienes culturales y conflictos armados

Abstract

Because or armed conflicts, are destroyed irreplaceable testimonies of the Common Heritage of Humanity. In the twentieth century, more than a hundred armed conflicts began, many of which still survive, with disastrous results for cultural heritage, that has suffered irreparable losses. The international community cannot remain silent and indifferent to these events. Echoing this concern, the most important international organizations, led by UNESCO, have been adopting measures aimed at avoiding or reducing the consequences of these attacks. The knowledge of these initiatives will be the object of this exhibition.
