Mobilitat laboral, àrees de cohesió i àrees de planificació a Catalunya

Abstract

Labor mobility, social cohesion and planning areas in Catalonia. The data of work mobility behavior in Catalonia allows the application of different methodologies to define functional spaces. Among those, the model of cohesion attemptsto define real urban areas-cities in Catalonia. In this article, we analyze the evolution of the work mobility between 1981 and 2001, as well as the results of applying the model of cohesion to the data of 2001. We also present a brief survey to see how the areas of planning established by the territorial and urban legislation of Catalonia, that wants to give answer to the urban reality, match with those defined by the model of cohesion
