Abstract

La question du développement local est abordée dans l'article, en appliquant le modèle des systèmes territoriaux locaux à l'aire urbaine de Manresa (Barcelone). On discute d'abord le concept de développement local et les conséquences des processus d'expansion métropolitaine sur la position des lieux dans le réseau. Le cas de Manresa (Barcelone) est présenté, en exposant le rôle des agents sociaux et les politiques de développement, comme exemple de l'importance de la position dans le réseau et, notamment, de la capacité des acteurs locaux pour mettre en valeur les ressources du milieu.

L'article aborda la qüestió del desenvolupament local i aplica el model de sistemes territorials locals a l'àrea urbana de Manresa (Barcelona). S'hi discuteix, en primer lloc, el concepte de desenvolupament local i els canvis de posició en la xarxa derivats de processos d'extensió metropolitana. El cas de Manresa és presentat, a través de l'anàlisi del paper dels agents socials i de les polítiques de desenvolupament, com a exemple de la importància de la posició en la xarxa i, sobretot, del paper i la capacitat dels actors locals per posar en valor els recursos del seu milieu.

El artículo aborda la cuestión del desarrollo local y aplica el modelo de sistemas territoriales locales al área urbana de Manresa (Barcelona). Se discute, en primer lugar, el concepto de desarrollo local así como los cambios de posición en la red producidos por procesos de extensión metropolitana. El caso de Manresa se presenta, a través del análisis del papel de los agentes sociales y de las políticas de desarrollo, como ejemplo de la importancia de la posición en la red y, sobre todo, de la capacidad de los actores locales para poner en valor los recursos de su milieu.

The paper focuses on the question of local development and applies the local territorial systems model to the urban area of Manresa (Barcelona). The concept of local development is discussed first, as well as the change in place's position within the network derived from metropolitan expansion processes. The role of Manresa's social agents and its development policies are explained, to stress the relevance of the position of places in the network and, foremost, of the role and capability of local actors in putting into value theirs milieu's resources.
