Abstract

Currently, for the construction of large structures such as buildings, bridges or ships reinforced concrete is used as the main material. Reinforced concrete structures support both its own structure and external agents such as permanent loads, maintenance, snow, or wind and may cause a need for structural reinforcement. The most common reinforcement is the material composed of continuous fiber (FRP), in order to help the structure with its high mechanical performance. The most commonly used FRP reinforcement technique is EBR, which consists of glue the FRP sheet to the drawn side of the item with glue. This sticker, usually called epoxy resin. This adhesion suffers from premature failures by detachment of the laminate from the concrete substrate. In order to try to fix this The use of anchors between FRP and concrete is proposed. Anchors will be in charge to perform the fastening function in order to prevent the FRP from coming off the concrete prematurely. There are currently a variety of rational design codes, rules, and procedures, standardized and reliable that guarantee its optimal design in order to withstand more load. So far, the metal anchors are the ones that have started to be implemented, however, these present certain problems such as corrosion or electrical conductivity. That is why that the use of lighter materials and resistant to external agents should be investigated. In this sense, one optimal solution would be the use of plastics from additive manufacturing, which can provide great flexibility in the realization of designs, different methods of manufacture and wide variety of materials which would allow the possibility of replacing current materials.
