The study aims to analyze the gender roles in our society, especially, in the haute cuisine, and attempts to determine if there are gender discriminations in the work environment. In order to carry it out, a look through history is done first so as to analyze how the situation was in the past and how it is nowadays. From a qualitative methodology, which is based on a sample of seven interviews with Michelin-starred Catalan chefs, the results show a greater presence of male chefs which let us conclude that there is still a lot to be done to gather the gender equality in the sector
