Abstract

En els darrers anys, l’ús de materials compostos de matriu polimèrica (en anglès “Fibre Reinforced Polymers”, FRP) s’ha implantat en el sector de la construcció amb formigó armat. Per una banda, els FRP resulten una alternativa adequada a l’acer convencional en aquells casos en els que l’armadura d’acer pot patir corrosió o plantejar problemes com a conseqüència de l’acció de camps electromagnètics. Per altra banda, l’ús dels FRP com a material de reforç estructural en el cas de rehabilitacions planteja nombrosos avantatges, entre els que es destaca la seva bona relació resistència/pes o la seva excel·lent durabilitat. Malgrat que darrerament han aparegut els primers codis de disseny per estructures armades i reforçades amb FRP, encara hi ha una important manca de normalització i uniformització en aquest camp, amb l’agreujant que cada fabricant presenta barres i laminats amb propietats mecàniques i adherents diferents entre elles
