Abstract

La imatge turística d’una destinació pot influir en la presa de decisió del lloc de vacances del turista. A través de les emocions que les fotografies d’un destí ens puguin generar, podrem saber si ens agradaria visitar aquell indret. Abans, l’accés a les imatges d’una destinació estava més limitada, ja que les fonts de consulta eren més restringides. Actualment, la fotografia digital i les xarxes socials han propiciat un creixement exponencial de les fotografies, fent que els turistes tinguin la necessitat d’ensenyar tot allò que visiten i publiquin tota diversitat de fotografies dels seus viatges, mostrant el més i menys conegut d’aquell destí. Per aquesta raó, els mateixos turistes han acabat esdevenint els creadors de la imatge turística de la destinació. En el següent treball, a través d’una anàlisi de les fotografies que els turistes han publicat a Instagram, es vol analitzar la imatge percebuda de la Catedral de Girona. Quina és la imatge que els turistes transmeten sobre un dels principals recursos turístics de la ciutat?
