Desde la demanda realizada por el Programa Intensivo Erasmus “Global Identity though Human Development: Summer School on Participatory Research Video (Global_ID)”, este trabajo presenta una intervención psicosocial para minimizar los efectos del prejuicio hacia la minoría étnica gitana. La muestra general está formada por 30 estudiantes europeos participantes en el IP Global_ID. Dado que por requerimientos del propio programa los estudiantes debían relacionarse con la comunidad gitana del Barrio San Lorenzo de Castellón, se estimó oportuno intervenir realizzando una adaptación de la metodología de Investigación-Acción Participativa (IAP), Para evaluar el grado de prejuicio previo se utilizó la Escala de Prejuicio Sutil y Manifiesto (Pettegrew y Meertens, (1995) y como medida complementaria, una Técnica Narrativa basada en Viñetas. Los resultados de la escala revelan sujetos con perfil sutil e igualitario, mientras que con las viñetas aparecen además perfiles fanáticos. También se buscó generar un cambio actitudinal por medio de la generación de conocimientos y la reflexión.
From the demand made by the Erasmus Intensive Programme "Global Identity though Human Development: Summer School on Participatory Research Video (Global_ID)", this paper presents a psychosocial intervention to minimize the effects of prejudice against the gypsy ethnic minority. The sample consists of 30 European students participating in the IP Global_ID. Given program requirements, the students had to be related to the gypsy community of Barrio San Lorenzo from Castellón, so it seemed appropriate to intervene performing an adaptation of the methodology of Participatory Action Research (PAR). To assess the degree of previous prejudice was used Subtle and Blatant Prejudice Scale (Pettegrew and Meertens (1995) and as a complementary measure, a narrative technique based on vignettes. Results reveal subjects with subtle profile and equal profile, while the vignettes also appear fanatic profiles. We also tried to make an attitudinal change through knowledge generation and reflection.
