Canarias y los Fondos Estructurales europeos

Abstract

En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de la evaluación de las ayudas que, procedentes de la Unión Europea, habrá recibido Canarias durante el período 1989-2006 a través de distintos programas de inversiones contenidos los Fondos Estructurales. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que, como media durante el período 1989-2006, los Fondos Estructurales habrían dado lugar a una renta media por habitante superior en 412 euros de 1999 a la hubiese resultado en ausencia de dichos fondos. Para el período presupuestario 2007-2013 se obtiene que, la media de la renta por habitante en Canarias durante el periodo 2007-13 disminuyera en 391 euros de 1999 si se pasase del escenario de continuación de las ayudas al de Objetivo 1bis, mientras que la reducción media en renta por habitante para ese mismo período entre los escenarios de continuación de los fondos y su finalización se situaría en 571 euros de 1999.
