Almansa 1707

Authors: Mira, Joan F.;
Abstract

Without memory, there is no truly human existence, neither in the lives of individuals, nor in the lives of peoples. Crucial moments in history make us what we are. In the case of Valencians, the events of 1707 have determined our contemporary history: a lost battle, the institutional suppression of the country, the annexation to Castille. To remember it, therefore, is also to project a different future.
