Throughout the year 2011 a large number of rulings on a wide range of topics concerning the environment were issued by the Valencian Community High Court of Justice. This can be interpreted in two ways: on the one hand, cases of damage to the environment have unfortunately become a recurring issue and, on the other, in a more positive vein, the law courts are exerting greater control over the environment, which favours its protection
