La comunicación comparte una investigación para visibilizar los cómics y novelas gráficas editados cuyo contenido está vinculado al género y/o a mujeres referentes, que pueden incluirse en las bibliotecas escolares y, también, en las bibliotecas universitarias en las que se forman los futuros maestros y maestras. Esta necesidad de referentes está demostrada por la investigación. La necesidad de la introducción del cómic y la novela gráfica en los géneros que se trabajan en el sistema escolar en primaria, secundaria y universidad está unida al posicionamiento científico sobre la formación lectora y la educación literaria del profesorado que se traslada al currículum. Otra urgencia que es necesario abordar, vinculada con el punto anterior, es la introducción curricular de mujeres referentes desde una pedagogía feminista unida al rigor científico.
