Asesinatos de género en España

Abstract

Gender violence is a problem that has been existed and continues to exist in all societies. It is a very serious phenomenon that is present in many cultures, social classes, ethnic groups, and ages. We can see that there are more and more cases of women who are murdered for gender violence, simply because they are women, as a manifestation of the brutal inequality that exists in society. A specific Comprehensive Law for gender violence has been created, including a State Pact to implement strategic measures with the aim of preventing and raising awareness. But have the measures implemented so far been sufficient? How have these murders evolved year after year? And had the women who have been murdered filed a previous complaint? It is for all these issues that the objective of this study is to examine the evolution of these murders committed by gender violence and to see what their relationship with the complaint has really been. Furthermore, this study attempts to make visible the need to implement strategic measures from a gender perspective, always with the aim of preventing and eradicating this violence. It tries to explain that the answer to all this problem that affects to all citizens, starts from the base of education always from a gender perspective.
