Introducción: los taxanos (docetaxel, paclitaxel y nab-paclitaxel) son fármacos antineoplásicos muy utilizados actualmente. Se han documentado numerosos efectos adversos, entre ellos los cutáneos, que tienen una alta prevalencia en los pacientes tratados. Objetivos: la finalidad de esta revisión es conocer los efectos adversos cutáneos más frecuentes y la mejor actuación terapéutica y preventiva ante ellos. Metodología: la búsqueda de artículos se realizó mediante la base de datos de Pubmed, Cochrane Library y Embase. Para la síntesis de los resultados, se elaboró una tabla resumen. En ella se exponen las reacciones cutáneas con la zona afectada, clínica, histología, taxano utilizado, número de dosis, tratamiento y referencias que documentan lo descrito. Resultados: se incluyeron 16 artículos siguiendo las guías de Cochrane (14.6) sin rechazar artículos de baja evidencia científica. Los efectos adversos más frecuentes son: erupciones máculo-papulares y síndrome mano-pie. Se describen otros muchos, pero que aparecen en menores ocasiones. Discusión: se observa que la mejor actuación es, en un primer momento, tratar la sintomatología y, posteriormente, valorar el mejor uso del taxano. Conclusión: hay una multitud de reacciones cutáneas documentadas, con una falta de evidencia científica sobre el mejor tratamiento disponible ante ellas.

Introduction: Although taxanes (docetaxel, paclitaxel and nab-paclitaxel) are currently used antineoplastic drugs numerous adverse effects have been documented. Amongst them, cutaneous ones that have a high prevalence in treated patients. Objectives: The purpose of this review is to know the most frequent cutaneous adverse effects and the best preventive or therapeutic action if they occur. Methodology: The search for articles was done through Pubmed, Cochrane Library and Embase. For the synthesis of the results, a summary table was elaborated where the cutaneous reactions are exposed with the affected area, clinical, histology, taxane used, number of doses, treatment and references documenting the foresaid. Results: 16 articles were included following the Cochrane guidelines (14.6) without rejecting articles of low scientific evidence. The most frequent adverse effects are: maculo-papular eruptions and handfoot syndrome. Many others are described, but they appear in fewer occasions. Discussion: It is observed that the best action is, at first, to treat the symptomatology and, later, to evaluate the appropriate use of the taxane. Conclusion: There are many skin reactions documented but there is still a lack of scientific evidence on the best treatment available to them.
