Diferencias de género en el uso y abuso del cibersexo

Abstract

Mujeres y hombres difieren en la frecuencia de uso del cibersexo, así como en el contenido al que acceden. Vistas las consecuencias que puede producir un mal uso del mismo, nuestro objetivo es analizar las diferencias de género en el uso y el abuso del cibersexo y profundizar qué puede haber detrás de estas diferencias. 399 jóvenes de entre 18 y 28 años (M = 22,20; DT = 2,41) completaron la versión española del Internet Sex Screening Test (isst) y preguntas sociodemográficas. Los resultados indican que los hombres presentan mayor perfil de riesgo y uso patológico del cibersexo, en general y en cada factor; mientras que, en las mujeres, la mayoría muestran un uso recreativo del mismo. Por ello, se debería seguir estudiando la influencia del género en este ámbito y realizar estrategias adecuadas para educar sobre su uso y sus consecuencias.
