Serpentina. Revista especializada en gimnasia rítmica

Abstract

“Serpentina” is the project of a media business specialized in rhythmic gymnastics. This project aims to render visible a sport with a low level of media representation, as well as to normalize the status of the sportswomen playing this sport. To do so, this magazine will offer a different product, by comparison with the sport media in general and also with its direct competence. “Sepentina” will be published in printed as well as in digital format, therefore providing written and audio-visual contents. In addition, this new project gives former and current gymnasts a mean to express themselves and spread their sports experiences. As it has been already mentioned, rhythmic gymnastics is one of the sports with less media representation, a piece of data that differs significantly with the number of gymnasts registered at a national level. In front of this situation, “Serpetina” rises with the clear advantage of not having direct competitors, a fact that makes possible the promotion of loyalty among the target costumerreader and the proper development of the magazine. Therefore, the current paper presents the project of a media enterprise that has as its main goal the revindication of the importance of media for every sport, regardless of their popularity in the means of communication.
