Tratamiento en los medios de comunicación españoles sobre el dopaje en el deporte: los casos de Pedro Delgado y Alberto Contador

Abstract

El trabajo se centra en el análisis del tratamiento de las informaciones de los medios de comunicación españoles en relación al dopaje a través de los casos de Alberto Contador y Pedro Delgado . En este sentido, será una retrospectiva de cómo se trató en su momento el positivo de Pedro Delgado y cómo, 22 años después, se hizo con Alberto Contador. Casos s imilares por deporte, género y status social. Dentro de este marco, se examina cómo los medios trataron las informaciones, si cumplieron con los crit erios éticos del periodismo y si hubo diferencias entre el medio generalista y el especializado . La muestra se centra en un medio generalista ( El País) y uno especializado en deporte ( Marca ). En cuanto a la metodología, se realizará un análisis de contenido en el que se atiende variables como el número de publicaciones , el tipo de fuentes utilizadas o la presencia de juicios de valor y lenguaje sensacionalista. Los resultados han puesto de mani fiesto la diferencia en la cobertura y el tratamiento de los dos periódicos, mostrando las claras disfunciones en las que cayeron ambos diarios.

The work focuses on the analysis of the treatment of i nformation in the Spanish media about Pedro Delgado and Alberto Contador doping cases. It’s a retrospective about how the media treated both cases. Within this framework, this report examines how the media treats the information, if they accomplish with the professional codes and if there were differences between a generalist newspaper ( El País ) and a specialised newspaper ( Marca ). In respect of work methodology, we will carry out a content analysis where we will meet variables like number of publications , the kind of information sources or the presence of value judgment and sensacionalist language. The results obtained revealed the differences in the treatment between both of the newspaper, showing the dysfunctions that they commited.
