Treball Final de Grau en Periodisme. Codi: PE0932. Curs acadèmic: 2016/2017 This paper analyses the phenomenon of online feminist activism in the current Spanish society, its role and its impact on both citizenship and conventional media, given the importance this kind of activism is acquiring in the sociopolitical and digital landscape. The aims of this research, in which has been applied a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews to feminist activists, are the following: to study the main advantages and risks of using ICT to make political activism in general and feminist activism in particular, to analyse the communicative strategies the activists follow and to know the relatdness established between these and the traditional media. From these three wide blocks, which are defined in the questionnaire used, it has been known that social networks are essential for current feminist activism because of its scope and gratuity, even though it carries a great risk of exposure to persecutions and threats; that defining a communicative strategy is advisable, especially for groups, but not essential, as is the case of combining online and offline activism; and, lastly, that activists in general are not interested in influencing the media agenda and believe that they are supplying the lack of information on feminist issues.
