Abstract

II Congreso Internacional de Convivencia Escolar Variables Psicológicas y Educativas Implicadas, celebrado en Universidad de Almeria, Almeria (España) del 16 al 19 de Marzo de 2010. SOCIOMET es un programa informático escrito en VisualBasic por González y García-Bacete, que permite utilizar las respuestas que proporcionan los cuestionarios sociométricos de nominaciones entre iguales y ha sido diseñado como herramienta útil para evaluar la estructura de aceptación y rechazo dentro de un aula o grupo de alumnos, u otro grupo social. Sociomet es de fácil manejo, dado que crea un entorno muy amigable y visual. Sociomet presenta la información en forma de matrices (matrices de datos y matrices de datos y valores,…), listados (de datos individuales, de índices individuales, de índices grupales, de reciprocidades,…) y representaciones gráficas (distancias sociométricas, círculos con sectores, tablas de 4 columnas de cada valor, tipos sociométricos, sociogramas de nominaciones positivas,…). Sociomet asegura tanto la significación psicológica como la significación estadística de los diferentes valores e índices obtenidos. Sociomet permite elaborar informes individuales y grupales, adaptándose a las necesidades de los usuarios. En la elaboración del Sociomet se ha tenido en consideración tanto la perspectiva del docente como la del investigador. Sociomet tiene numerosas aplicaciones y proporciona valiosos datos sobre los miembros del grupo-clase que permitirán al profesorado y los psicólogos escolares consensuar y establecer un plan de intervención.
