Abstract

El estudio de clústeres moleculares de metales de transición es un campo multidisciplinar que ha repercutido notablemente en la comunidad científica. El interés que despierta se debe a que estos sistemas moleculares presentan una gran versatilidad, diversidad electrónica y estructural, lo que permite variar las propiedades físico-químicas de los mismos. El estudio de las propiedades de los nuevos compuestos se lleva a cabo con el fin de conocer la relación existente entre la estructura molecular y electrónica además de buscar aplicaciones de interés científico o industrial. Así pues, el presente trabajo se ha centrado en la síntesis de clústeres trinucleares de unidad central M3S4 (M= Mo, W) solubles en agua capaces de actuar como precursores de nuevos compuestos hidrosolubles. Los clústeres calcogenuros trinucleares se pueden encontrar en una gran cantidad de metalo-enzimas, p.e. el clúster con estructura de tipo cubano MoFe3S4 en la nitrogenasa.22-23 En este sentido, los clústeres trimetálicos son sistemas clave a la hora de comprender el mecanismo de algunos procesos catalíticos para los cuales es imprescindible que sean solubles en agua. En base a lo expuesto los objetivos concretos de este trabajo son los siguientes: i) Síntesis y caracterización de clústeres hidrosolubles con unidad central [M3S4] 4+ (M= Mo, W) funcionalizados con ligandos acuo. ii) Síntesis y caracterización de clústeres con unidad central [M3S4] 4+ (M= Mo, W) funcionalizados con trifenilfosfina. iii) Estudio de reactividad de los compuestos [Mo3S4(H2O)9](pts)4 y Mo3S4(PPh3)3X4(H2O)2 frente al ligando tiourea iv) Determinación estructural del clúster trinuclear W3S4(PPh3)3Br4(H2O)2
