Abstract

Given the high volume of data used by the University Library of Granada (BUG) for several tasks, such as decision-making, reporting or providing information to other services, it was clear that a management software was needed. A balanced scorecard (BSC) will help to the indicators’ generation from a knowledge database. The BSC tool puts together simple and complex indicators, according to their aim, the processes affected and the Library’s strategic axes. Moreover, this tool will generate reports and comparisons for the study of indicators and their evolution, assisting the decision-making process.
