IMAGEN CORPORAL, IDENTIDAD DE GÉNERO Y ALIMENTACIÓN

Abstract

Body image as a mental representation of ourselves begins to be built by means of these early experiences and sensations experienced, and refers to aspects of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, which are essential to understand the assesment mechanisms of the body that affect the construction of body stereotypes and the gender socialization processes. This paper aims to conduct a psychological approach to the determinant role that food has since birth in the construction of body identity, personality development and access to an adult identity.
