This paper tries to make a non-exhaustive analysis of the character of Helen of Troy, from Homer to the present day: her evolution or transformation, her different meanings and symbolisms, always depending on the period of time at issue and without fully closing the topic –impossible task–, but leaving it open for a better understanding of the transmission of the myth.
