Resultados y congreso internacional del proyecto europeo SiforAGE

Abstract

Este artículo divulgativo presenta los resultados obtenidos durante los cuatro años de desarrollo del proyecto europeo SIforAGE e informa sobre el Congreso Internacional que en el marco del proyecto se organizará en Barcelona en octubre del 2016. El primer apartado introduce la justificación y marco de trabajo en el que se ha desarrollado el proyecto. La segunda sección presenta los resultados del proyecto agrupados en las tres áreas más relevantes en las que se ha centrado: (1) Responsabilidad social de la ciencia en materia de envejecimiento, (2) Elaboración de políticas públicas en materia de envejecimiento basadas en evidencia y (3) Concienciación Social para una "Sociedad de Todas las Edades". En cada una de las áreas se sintetizan las conclusiones más relevantes a las que se ha llegado en el desarrollo del proyecto, así como algunos de los materiales que se han generado y publicado. Finalmente, el tercer punto presenta los aspectos más destacados del Congreso Internacional que se organizará en Barcelona del 19 al 21 de octubre del 2016. Se espera que el evento sirva para cerrar el proyecto y abrir nuevas etapas que nos permitan avanzar hacia un futuro activo y saludable para todas las personas mayores.

This informative articlepresents the reults obtained during the four years development of the European Project SIforAGE. It also informs about the International Conference that will be held in Barcelona on October 2016. Section I introduces the justification and framework of the Project. Section II presents the project’s results grouped in the three main areas in which it has focused: (1) social responsibility of research on ageing, (2) evidence-based policy-making on ageing and (3) social awareness as a mean for a “Society for All Ages”. Each of the parts includes the most relevant outcomes of the project as well as some of the materials generated and published within the SIforAGE project. Finally, Section III presents the most outstanding features of the SIforAGE International Conference that will be organised in Barcelona from the 19th to the 21st of October, 2016. The goal is to close the SIforAGE project opening new paths towards the construction of an Active and Healthy future for all the elderly people.
