La guerra civil española en China: los voluntarios chinos en las brigadas internacionales (1936-1939)

Abstract

El estallido de la Guerra Civil española entre 1936 y 1939, como la especia antesala de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, tuvo un gran impacto en el Mundo. Durante el mismo periodo, en China, los informativos del extremo oriental del continente siguieron de cerca los combates en el extremo occidental. En términos de cobertura, China, y especialmente el Partido Comunista Chino (中国共产党), se mostró positiva hacia el gobierno republicano español, y muchos periódicos comunistas presentaron a los dos países como “hermanos” en la guerra contra el fascismo. Además, tanto el mundo literario como el artístico chino produjeron obras humanitarias sobre la Guerra Civil española. Por supuesto, lo más destacable es la presencia de un grupo de chinos en la Guerra Civil española. Fueron entre 60 y 100, algunos de los cuales murieron directamente en combate en la Península Ibérica, y otros resultaron desconocidos en el momento de la Guerra Civil española, quedando sólo trece cuyas identidades y huellas pudieron ser captadas por la posteridad. El objetivo de este trabajo es discutir el alto grado de interés chino por la Guerra Civil española entre 1936 y 1939, las razones de la formación de las Brigadas Internacionales, el papel que desempeñaron y su estructura compositiva, así como detallar las experiencias de los voluntarios chinos que lucharon en la guerra.
