Plan de internacionalización de palmitos en conserva a Canadá

Abstract

En este documento se presenta el proceso de internacionalización de palmito en conserva de la empresa Palmitos Panamá hacia Canadá. Palmitos Panamá es una empresa fundada en la ciudad de Panamá con el propósito de producir y comercializar palmitos a nivel local. Posteriormente la empresa empezó a exportar a mercados internacionales: Estados Unidos y Francia. Debido al éxito que la empresa ha experimentado en mercados internacionales, la empresa se ha determinado ha continuar creciendo a nivel mundial. Considerando el objetivo de la empresa de crecer alrededor del mundo, este proyecto tiene como propósito estudiar la viabilidad de la internacionalización hacia Canadá. Este mercado ha sido seleccionado por demostrar un gran potencial de consumo de este producto. Por otro lado, el Tratado de Libre comercio firmado entre Panamá y Canadá en 2010 convierte a Canadá en un mercado muy atractivo para este proyecto de internacionalización. A través de este documento se analizan cuestiones relevantes para la exportación de palmitos al mercado canadiense. El esquema utilizado en el proyecto consiste en: 1) Análisis PESTEL, 2) DAFO, 3) Mercado, 4) Competencia, 5) Plan de marketing, 6) Proceso productivo, 7) Proceso Logístico, 8) Recursos del proyecto y 9) Plan financiero. Una vez que se realizó el plan de internacionalización se visualizó que existe gran oportunidad para exportar el palmito en conserva al mercado canadiense. A través del plan financiero se identifica una rentabilidad de 11% y se observan resultados positivos para la empresa lo que permite que este proyecto de internacionalización sea viable.
