Sistema de recomendaciones enfocado a Redes de Sensores Inalámbricos

Abstract

Actualmente, la IoT (Internet of Things) es una tendencia sobre la interconexión de los objetos cada vez más presente alrededor nuestro. La monitorización del tráfico urbano, las condiciones climáticas locales o el estado en que se encuentra nuestro hogar son algunas de sus aplicaciones que, mediante WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks), podemos estar informados al momento de todo lo que ocurre en nuestro entorno. Las WSNs son redes compuestas por dispositivos de bajo coste y consumo energético que perciben y miden estos fenómenos de su entorno y envían los datos a un nodo central para ser procesados. Estas implementaciones generan, a corto plazo, una gran cantidad de datos lo que implica tener que disponer de un sistema global que ofrezca la suficiente capacidad para soportarlas. Por tal de hacer más eficiente el consumo energético de las WSNs y optimizar su uso, se pretende diseñar un sistema de recomendaciones que genere sugerencias sobre la administración de las WSNs. Para ello, este sistema analizará y procesará los datos generados de ellas y de cada uno de los sensores mediante técnicas de minería de datos e inteligencia artificial que permitan predecir el comportamiento de estas a corto plazo. Con las predicciones resultantes, el sistema generará las recomendaciones pertinentes sobre la WSNs por tal de cambiar el modo en que funcionan y, por lo tanto, hacerlas más eficientes energéticamente, optimizarlas para un uso más útil y hacer un despliegue y mantenimiento más sostenible.
