El ciberacoso : una aproximación criminológica

Abstract

The cyberbullying phenomenon, also known as online harassment, is an area of increasing scientific interest to criminology, but is also controversial and a difficult topic to study. In this context, this research aims to explore the complexity of this problem and its consequences for both the individual and the society. For this purpose, it has been carried out a literature review of the current publications referring to the prevalence, incidence and consequences about this type of victimization, and the analysis of the results of 150 questionnaires filled out by university students of Catalonia to determine whether the data obtained from this analysis agrees with what has been found in the global literature or on the contrary, there are some differences in relation to this phenomenon. This paper also aims to contribute in the research of a kind of victimization which nowadays has not been enough studied.
