A Rede de Rastreio Comunitária: Resultados

Abstract

A Rede de Rastreio Comunitária é um projeto, promovido pelo Grupo de Ativistas em Tratamentos (GAT) em parceria com o Instituto de Saúde Pública da Universidade do Porto (ISPUP) e o Serviço de Imunohemoterapia do Centro Hospitalar de São João. Foi desenvolvida em Portugal tendo em vista a implementação de uma rede nacional de rastreio rápido, disponibilizado em organizações de base comunitária que trabalham com os grupos-chave para as epidemias do VIH, hepatites víricas e infeções sexualmente transmissíveis – pessoas que usam drogas, trabalhadores do sexo, homens que têm sexo com homens (HSH) e migrantes de países de elevada prevalência. Procura também recolher e reportar dados que permitam a vigilância epidemiológica destas infeções, complementando desta forma a intervenção do sistema formal de saúde e, em simultâneo, assegurar referenciação adequada e acompanhamento das pessoas com resultados reativos para os serviços do Serviço Nacional de Saúde. Este relatório contextualiza o aparecimento da Rede de Rastreio na situação atual da epidemia de cada uma das infeções e do rastreio de base comunitária em Portugal e resume o trabalho desenvolvido até abril de 2016.
