ABSTRACT: Web accessibility is found on a series of recommendations from a techni-cal point of view, done by specialized organizations and that have a strong influence on the subject, that provide accessibility criteria and whose’s follow up helps sub-stantially to achieve that the contents of a web site become accessible. In this article we can find several recommendations that are widely used on a global scale, the Steps of accessibility to Web Content (WCAG 1.0); as well as Section 508 and the technical regulation that applies in Spain.

La accesibilidad Web se encuentra reflejada en una serie de recomenda-ciones de tipo técnico, elaboradas por organismos especializados y de gran trascen-dencia en la materia, que aportan criterios de accesibilidad y cuyo seguimiento ayu-da sustancialmente a conseguir que los contenidos de una página sean accesibles. En este artículo se recogen las recomendaciones de facto más extendidas a nivel mun-dial, las Pautas de Accesibilidad al Contenido en Web (WCAG 1.0); así como la Sección 508 y la normativa técnica de aplicación en España.
