Abstract

Este escrito pretende ilustrar la vinculación de Ayer -en su primera etapa- con las tesis del Positivismo Lógico. Se revisan los aspectos esenciales que este autor asumió del Círculo de Viena, a saber, la crítica a la metafísica fundamentada en el criterio de verificación: la negativa a admitir la existencia de juicios sintéticos a priori: la concepción de la tarea de la filosofía como análisis filosófico -entendido como análisis lingüístico de los enunciados de las ciencias empíricas: el fenomenalismo y el ideal de la ciencia unificada. El artículo concluye con una reflexión sobre la vigencia actual de la filosofía concebida al modo positivista.
