Al inicio del siglo XXI la precariedad laboral fue relacionada con la crisis del capitalismo neoliberal. Aquí mostramos las limitaciones de este enfoque y presentamos su trayectoria histórica desde los orígenes del capitalismo. Vinculándola con la crisis s e dijo que la precariedad afectaba a los países desarrollados e industrializados y a sus clases medias. Por ello nos preguntamos ¿qué características tiene la precariedad laboral en contextos socio - económicos en donde no predominan las clases medias y sí l o pobres? Presentamos la precariedad laboral como un proceso histórico y multidimensional, con afectaciones laborales que dieron cauce a estrategias de sobrevivencia más o menos efectivas. Buscamos precisarla de manera empírica y examinarla siguiendo la di mensión regional y familiar

At the beginning of the 21st century, job insecurity was related to the crisis of neoliberal capitalism. Here we show the limitations of this approach and present its historical trajectory from the origins of capitalism. Linking it to the crisis, it was said that precariousness affected developed and industrialized countries and their middle classes. That is why we ask ou rselves, what are the characteristics of job insecurity in socio - economic contexts where the middle classes do not predominate and the poor do? We present labor precariousness as a historical and multidimensional process, with labor effects that gave rise to more or less effective survival strategies.
