Apego en adultos y percepción de los otros

Abstract

En este estudio se analizaron las relaciones existentes entre el estilo de apego de los individuos y las percepciones que tienen de sí mismos y de los otros en una muestra compuesta por 118 estudiantes universitarias. Las diferencias de valoración se midieron a través de las distancias entre los elementos que representan al yo ideal y a los otros ideales en la técnica de rejilla de Kelly. En línea con las predicciones, con la única excepción del estilo temeroso, en general los sujetos se identificaron más con la madre que con el padre. Asimismo, las participantes de nuestra investigación se identificaron más con sus iguales (pareja o amigos/as) que con sus padres. La identificación con los pares evidenció el relevante papel que junto a la madre juegan esas personas para las adultas jóvenes como posibles figuras de apego. Los resultados extraídos para la comparación de los estilos de apego y los modelos del self y de los otros según la conceptualización de Bartholomew y Horowitz no mostraron resultados concluyentes. Se discuten los resultados así como posibles futuras líneas de investigación.
