Tornó su vida en un jeroglí co, más de lo que ya es toda vida. Y se fabuló. Abordar la biografía de un escritor, representa un claro ejercicio de reescritura y también de transformismo o travestismo, porque el biógrafo se transforma en el personaje narrado y, a veces, el personaje se vuelve como el narrador. En algún punto del relato, el biógrafo sintoniza con la mitología del otro y se produce una suerte de coexistencia. Es cuando advierte que la biografía es un espejo del Yo. Ya convertido en personaje, hay que imaginar al biogra ado, hablar con él, sacarlo del lugar estan- co (documentos, testimonios, archivos) y entrar de lleno en su epopeya. Revivirlo mediante la escritura, otorgarle nuevamente una presencia y situarlo en su tiempo. Cada sujeto a biogra ar representa un desafío, especialmente cuando el sujeto es alguien admirable por ese fragmento de vida que es su obra, quizá lo más luminoso y ejemplarizante de todo gran artista.
